OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD! |It’s that time of year again! Throughout October we are focusing hard on Operation Christmas Child! The shoeboxes we put together aren’t only an exciting gift for the child receiving it, but each box also comes with a Bible in their language and the opportunity for the child to enroll in “The Greatest Journey,” a 12-week discipleship program where the child learns about Jesus and how to follow Him with their lives! Last year over 3.5 MILLION children said “yes” to the opportunity to participate in The Greatest Journey, 2.5 million completed the full 12 weeks, and 1.6 million dedicated their lives to following Jesus!! Our efforts toward Operation Christmas Child are not for a one-day or one-week thrill of a new toy, but for the life changing knowledge of Jesus Christ and His offer of eternal salvation! You can see exactly what items to bring to fill a shoebox here!We will have drop off boxes in the middle school and high school for the specific items.
***Date change*** // We will now have a packing party for the shoeboxes on Wednesday November 1stafter student services from 8:00 to 8:30 pm. It'll be a great time to serve and pray over the boxes going out!

SUGAR RUSH | OCTOBER 25th: Sugar Rush is going down October 25th! This will be an awesome night in the student area where we will get to worship, with chances to win some sweet prizes, play some awesome games, dress up in (appropriate) costumes, and of course, CANDY!!! There willbe a costume contest, so best costume wins! To make Sugar Rush as EPIC as possible, we need candy. LOTS AND LOTS of candy! So, between now and October 25th, students can bring in a bag of candy of their choice to share for Sugar Rush! It will definitely be an amazing night full of fun, fellowship, and candy!!!

HIGH SCHOOL RETREAT!!! |This year we will be going to Daytona Beach! We will stay at Country Inn and Suites in Port Orange and have a very similar schedule to last year's, just in a different location! The dates are still November 10-11 but the cost is $85 IF you sign up and pay by October 29th. The cost will go to $100 after that date. You can sign up and pay the registration fee online at www.mallstudents.comor at the Warehouse desk before and after student services. There will be a parent meeting November 5th in the high school room right after church!

Colossians 1:28-29

Dear parents,

Continuing our discussion from last week, our students will learn more about what made Jesus angry. This week, we specifically will focus on John 2:13-22 and his anger at the way some people had misused and abused God’s Temple. People from all over the known world would travel to Jerusalem in order to celebrate Passover at the Temple. When Jesus saw the people who took advantage of the droves of people flocking to the Temple, he was appalled by the greed and audacity of the corruption at the very place that was meant to be the center of fellowship, grace, and prayer.

Our conversation is designed to help teenagers understand more about how Jesus experienced and dealt with human emotions. It would be great if you could engage your teenager in a conversation about what we will be discussing during our time together. Feel free to use some of these questions to get things started:

  • In an average day, do you think you experience more emotions than the typical teenager, fewer emotions, or about the same number of emotions? Explain.
  • Because Jesus felt emotions, how might that make it easier or more natural to pray to him about the things you experience in life?
  • If you’ve allowed your negative emotions to hurt other people, what would it take to seek their forgiveness and try to restore those relationships?

Thanks for your continued prayers for the students in our ministry. Have a blessed week!
