Sunday, April 23rd

Hello Parents!
This week we are starting a new series on Sundays called “Timothy and Transitions.” We will be focusing on helping students realize their leadership potential and use it to positively influence those around them! We hope that this lesson will help you start a conversation that helps them look for opportunities to lead, rather than follow.
* Take note: We have a change of date in our event schedule below!

May 21st
Due to Pastor Jay’s last day being May 7th, we have decided to move the Talent Show to May 21st so we can set our hearts solely on our great pastor on the 7th!

There are STILL, MANY areas where we will need volunteers.
The immediate need is donations of goods, services, sports paraphernalia, and more!

If you have contacts to obtain some larger prizes such as, weekend
get-aways, fishing trips, Chef Tables, etc, and wouldn't mind connecting me with these people or companies, it would be GREATLY appreciated!

HERE is the revised letter to use for donation requests!
If you are willing to help with this fundraiser, PLEASE contact us! We'd love to work together! Donations you have secured can be brought in to the office any day during the week or on any Sunday!

What an absolute blessing it is to be able to partner with you!  You are loved deeply. If you have any questions, we’re here for you!

Dear parents,

We’re beginning a new series called “Timothy and Transitions: Moving from Follower to Leader.” Each week, we’re discussing what the Bible says about true leadership, specifically through the example of Timothy.

This young man was mentored by the Apostle Paul, who gradually gave him more and more responsibility. I’d love to see this group of students grow into incredible leaders who impact their world for Christ, so I’m really excited about this series. It will tap into each person’s leadership potential, based on how God has created them.

In the first lesson, we're talking about 1 Corinthians 4:14-17, where Paul sent Timothy to be an example to the struggling church in Corinth. We will discuss how every leader must first learn to follow—and that followers are faithful. We will also discuss how leaders serve as living examples of Jesus wherever they go.

This week, I encourage you to spend a few minutes talking with your teenager about this lesson. Ask a couple of these questions to get started:

  1. What’s something you’ve learned from a time when you were a follower?
  2. Who are some influential leaders who’ve been living examples of Jesus to you?
  3. What potential leadership qualities do you see in yourself? What leadership qualities have other people pointed out in you?

This will be a great time to affirm leadership potential you see in your teenager. Have a great week!
