Sunday, August 20th

Hello Parents!
We are back at it!! School is back in session and we are excited to see how students respond to the amazing summer we had! We are also excited to introduce a new Wednesday night series called Going Viral. It is a study of the early church and how they had a major encounter with God and started an incredible movement that grew into the church we are a part of today! We are hoping our students will remember what God did over the summer and carry that into the new school year to make a difference on their school campuses!

Here is some info to stay connected, and as always, if there is anything we can do for you just let us know!

Colossians 1:28-29

 Dear parents,
This week, we’re continuing our series on the habits of Jesus. Each week, students are looking to Jesus, at one of his habits, and exploring how this habit relates to their own lives.
In this week’s lesson, we will be looking at Luke 20:20-26, and we will be discussing how Jesus said to “give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.” Jesus had a habit of giving, but maybe not for the expected reasons. Jesus gave because he knew he was valued, because he trusted God, and because he was secure.
This week, find some time to talk with your teenager—maybe in the car or at the dinner table. Consider these questions:

  • What is your favorite possession, and why is it so meaningful?
  • What could you give someone else—whether it’s time, money, a possession, or an act of service?
  • How do you plan where you’ll spend your money?

Thanks for supporting our students and this ministry. Have a great week!
