Sunday, April 15th

Hello Parents!

We have such a great student ministry filled with incredibly talented students! As much as we would love to do the talent show, it was not as effective as we had hoped in raising money for students to go to camp. We have rolled out a new way to earn money with the giving envelopes! We sent out an email March 19th discussing all the details of the fundraiser. We have all of that information at the welcome desk in our student area! There are many incentives to raise money so grab an envelope from the desk and raise that money!

Love you all tons, and as always please let us know if we can ever be of assistance for you and your students. We are here for you.

These are the big events that are coming up in our student ministry!
Please go to for more information!

There are two ways to sign up, you can sign up online by clicking the link HERE or you can sign up at the welcome desk on a Wednesday or Sunday! Right now the cost is $275 but there are a couple price breaks you need to be aware of!

  • 5/6 will be the last day to sign up at $275. On 5/7 the cost of camp will be $300
  • 6/17 will be the last day to sign up at the $300 price. On 6/18 the cost of camp will be $350

In order to lock in your spot for camp at any of these prices, you must give a $50 non-refundable deposit at the time of registration! It will be an amazing week!

We are in a series called "The Savage Life." It is a six week series in the book of Ephesians that challenges our students to live a bold and active life! Come on in and check it out!

This past week was the last week of the girls bible study, but it will start up again soon! Keep an eye out for communication for when it will come back.

We are back to normal! See you at church Sunday night!

We are partnering with One More Child Global and Pastor Sean will be leading this trip with the High School Students! For more info, click HERE.

This year, student fundraising for Vertical Student Camp will look a little different, and we are very excited about the wonderful opportunity this will provide for many of our students to come to camp (Not to mention helping out parents and their wallets!). Students will raise their own funds to go to camp by asking others to consider donating a dollar amount to help them go to camp, which they will signify on the Vertical Camp fundraising card. Parents of students will sign out this card at the Welcome Desk. Click HERE for the info letter and for any questions please come see us at the Welcome Desk in the Student area or email us at

We are going back to New York City this year for the 5th year in a row!! It is an incredible trip that will definitely get you out of your comfort zone! Here are some of the details of the trip...

  • When: July 7th-14th
  • Cost: $975
  • Who: High School students only

Please consider going on this amazing trip! If you have any questions, you can email Luis Ruiz

We love and care about the families in our ministry so deeply, and our heart is to serve you and your family in the best way that we can! If there is anything we can do to help, please feel the freedom to let us know.

Colossians 1:28-29

Dear parents,
We’re continuing our series titled “Too Good to Be True?” Each week, we’re exploring what it means to be “good” and if being good is good enough.
In this second lesson, we will explore Matthew 19:16-22, where Jesus spoke with a rich man who wanted to be sure he would have eternal life. This guy had done all the right things—he’d kept all the rules. What else did he need to do? Jesus wanted to set him straight. A life with Christ isn’t focused on rules; it’s focused on a growing relationship with Jesus. Being good isn’t enough. Jesus wants to be first in our lives. We were created to live in community with him. To do this, we need a fresh start rather than trying to add an extra good deed here and there.
Find some time this week—at the dinner table or in the car—to talk with your teenager about this lesson. Consider getting the conversation started with these questions:

  • When do you find it most difficult to center your life on Jesus? When is it easier?
  • When have you needed a “do-over” in your journey of following Jesus?
  • What are you depending on most in life right now? Are you satisfied or dissatisfied with that? Explain.

Have a blessed week!
