Sunday, May 20th

Hello Parents!

School is just a couple weeks away from being out for the summer! And for some of you, that means celebrating your graduate, WHOOP WHOOP! We are so excited for this next season of their lives. We know this is an exciting time in the life of your graduate and for your family, and we want to celebrate with you on Senior Recognition Sunday, May 27th! The deadline to participate for this is TODAY, Wednesday May 16th. Please make sure your senior has everything in so we can honor them well! The details for all you will need to know for Senior Recognition Sunday can be found HERE.

Love you all tons, and as always please let us know if we can ever be of assistance for you and your students. We are here for you.

These are the big events that are coming up in our student ministry!
Please go to for more information!

There are two ways to sign up, you can sign up online by clicking the link HERE or you can sign up at the welcome desk on a Wednesday or Sunday! Right now the cost is $300 but there are a couple price breaks you need to be aware of!

  • 6/17 will be the last day to sign up at the $300 price. On 6/18 the cost of camp will be $350
  • 7/8 will be the last day to sign up for camp.
  • 7/15 will be our camp parent meeting after church!

In order to lock in your spot for camp at any of these prices, you must give a $50 non-refundable deposit at the time of registration! It will be an amazing week! If you are registering online, you have the ability of writing in how much you want your payment to be. Just fill in the payment blank with either the $50 deposit or the amount (up to $350) that you would like to pay! Making manageable payments has never been easier!

This year, we have the amazing opportunity to extend free trips to camp to students who are unchurched and unsaved. We are so excited about this opportunity for students to reach out and get their lost and unchurched friends to camp and give God the opportunity to do a work in their lives! Please consider praying for the friends that will be invited and remember, WE ONLY HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF SPOTS!

This year, student fundraising for Vertical Student Camp looks a little different, and we are very excited about the wonderful opportunity this will provide for many of our students to come to camp (Not to mention helping out parents and their wallets!). Students will raise their own funds to go to camp by asking others to consider donating a dollar amount to help them go to camp, which they will signify on the Vertical Camp fundraising card. Parents of students will sign out this card at the Welcome Desk. Click HERE for the info letter and for any questions please come see us at the Welcome Desk in the Student area or email us at

Colossians 1:28-29

Dear parents,
We are completing our four-lesson series on the Holy Spirit. This Sunday we will look at the events of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit filled the first Christians. That event, which occurred almost two months after Jesus’ resurrection, offers insight into how life in the Spirit is radically life-changing.
When God does something radical, it might be something that everyone notices. Or it might be something that just a few people directly experience. But the common denominator is that God’s radical acts go beyond our own reason and perspective.
When the disciples experienced the Holy Spirit’s radical presence on Pentecost, they were accused of being drunk. Thankfully, they were drunk on the Spirit, not on alcohol. They could be filled with the Holy Spirit because they’d chosen to be still and let God work in and through them.
Here are a few questions you can use with your teenager to dig deeper into this topic:

  • What words would you use to describe the kind of faith the Holy Spirit calls you to live?
  • How would you define a radical faith? Do you think you have one? Why or why not?
  • Why is it important to sometimes “do nothing” as we interact with God?
  • After we’re empowered by the Holy Spirit, why is it important to then “do something”?

May you and your teenager continue to be filled with God’s radical Holy Spirit. We’re praying for you this week!
