Sunday, May 27th

Hello Parents!

We are so excited to announce that we have hired a Student Ministry Assistant. Bonnie Hicks is currently a small group leader for 11th-grade girls and has helped in other capacities including being a chaperone for our NYC student trip last year! She loves serving students and has a son in our student ministry as well. We are so thankful and excited for Bonnie to keep us organized and keep you informed.  Last Sunday, we announced Sean Beach will be serving as our Discipleship Pastor. Cindy Beaudreault is not leaving the church!  She is currently transitioning from Family Ministry Assistant to Discipleship Pastor Assistant and will work directly with Sean. If you see Bonnie, make sure you make her feel welcomed and encouraged as she pours into our students in her new role!

From Cindy:
I'd like to take just a second and thank you all so much for investing and supporting student ministry! I love you all so very much and I'm not going anywhere! Sean will still be overseeing students as part of the umbrella that is Connect Groups throughout the church and I will be right there as well! Bonnie is absolutely amazing and will do an incredible job for you! She is a true beauty from the inside out and her love for the Lord is evident.  Please know that although I may be a little less visible, I will never stop loving on your kids! I love them to pieces!

Love you all!
Cindy (aka "Queen B")

Love you all tons, and as always please let us know if we can ever be of assistance to you and your students. We are here for you.

This year, we have the amazing opportunity to extend free trips to camp to students who are unchurched and unsaved. We are so excited about this opportunity for students to reach out and get their lost and unchurched friends to camp and give God the opportunity to do a work in their lives! Please consider praying for the friends that will be invited and remember, WE ONLY HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF SPOTS!

This year, student fundraising for Vertical Student Camp looks a little different. We are very excited about the wonderful opportunity this will provide for many of our students to attend camp (not to mention helping out parents and their wallets!). Students will raise their own funds to go to camp by asking others to consider donating a dollar amount to help them. Parents can sign out a fundraising card at the Welcome Desk. Click HERE for the info letter. If you have questions, please come see us at the Welcome Desk in the Student area or email us at

Colossians 1:28-29

Dear Parents,
We’re launching a new series called “Identity,” and each week, students are examining a different passage of Scripture to discover truths and insights about what it means to find their identity in Jesus.
Jesus offers a promise and reassurance for those who believe in him. He said that if we are truly his disciples, we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free. Jesus’ point is simple, focused, and all-encompassing. It leaves no room for questioning or compromising. Remaining connected to or “dwelling” in Jesus and his teachings is the true measure of discipleship. It is what separates people who are really free from those who merely appear to be free. It also speaks to how our identity is found in Jesus and not in the ways of the world. Jesus is the pathway to truth and the only way to experience freedom.
This week, I encourage you to spend a few minutes talking with your teenager about our lesson. Consider building your conversation around these questions:

  • Do you find it difficult to believe Jesus’ love for you is unconditional? Why or why not?
  • What does it mean to you to remain faithful to Jesus’ teachings?
  • Have you ever felt like your relationship with Jesus was based on your behavior or how good or bad you were? If so, why have you felt that way? If not, how might you help a friend who feels that way?

Thanks for all your prayers for our students and our ministry. Have an amazing week!
