Sunday, June 10th

Hello Parents!

Yea you read that right! But wait....THERE'S MORE!!! We will also have ALL YOU CAN EAT FOOD!! On June 27th, we will meet at the Lakeland Tigers baseball field for a game and all you can eat food. This will be our Wednesday programming! Please coordinate transportation for your students as we are not able to transport them from the church to the field. Parents are welcome to attend but the ticket price is $12 for parents. Our student ministry will be covering the extra $7 for all middle school and high school students. The only way for your student to get in on the $5 ticket price is if you register and pay Bonnie Hicks, our administrative assistant, by June 24th! You can register at the welcome desk on Sunday mornings or you can come to the church office during normal business hours and ask for Bonnie!

Love you all tons, and as always please let us know if we can ever be of assistance to you and your students. We are here for you.

These are the big events that are coming up in our student ministry!

This year, we have the amazing opportunity to extend free trips to camp for students who are unchurched and unsaved. We are so excited about this opportunity for students to reach out and get their lost and unchurched friends to camp and give God the opportunity to do a work in their lives! Please consider praying for the friends that will be invited and remember, WE ONLY HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF SPOTS!

Students will raise their own funds to go to camp by asking others to consider donating a dollar amount to help them go to camp, which they will signify on the Vertical Camp fundraising card. Parents of students will sign out this card at the Welcome Desk. If your student has not fully completed their fundraising envelop, they still have time! There will be a drawing June 17th for amazing prizes for those who have their envelops completed and turned in by then. Click HERE for the info letter and for any questions please come see us at the Welcome Desk in the Student area or email us at

No Wednesday night service this week due to VBS! Enjoy the evening with your students!!

Colossians 1:28-29

Dear Parents,

We’re continuing our series focusing on the topic “Identity.” Each week, students are examining a different passage of Scripture to discover truths and insights about discovering their identity in Jesus.

In our final lesson, we will explore John 8:38-47, where the conversation between Jesus and the Jews escalated to the point where it became pretty heated. It reached a place where Jesus drew a line in the sand and challenged people to consider if they were legitimate children of God.

It is so important for teenagers to learn how to choose well. The spiritual choices they make will determine whether or not they spend eternity with Jesus. As we conclude this series, challenge and encourage your teenager to understand the value and benefits of being part of God’s family—and how the most important thing in life is passionately pursuing a deep love for Jesus.

Here are some questions that can help fuel your conversation this week:

  • What people have shaped or influenced your spiritual journey? How have they been like spiritual fathers or mothers to you?
  • What are some characteristics or traits of Jesus that you’ve seen displayed in other people’s lives? Be as specific as possible.
  • What are some spiritual truths God has been teaching you recently?

Thanks for praying for our students and our ministry. Have a blessed week!
