We know that the school year can be busy with extracurricular activities, but we see that as an awesome opportunity to connect with students and see them in action! If your student has a football game, chorus or band concert, or a chess match we want to know about it! Please let us know in advance by emailing us the event time and location and we will see if we can make it to support them!
Love you all tons, and as always please let us know if we can ever be of assistance to you and your students. We are here for you.

It will be an all-nighter in Orlando that will consist of an Orlando Magic basketball game, indoor go karts, archery tag, basketball, volleyball, ice skating and so much more! Word of life will be sharing the Gospel, so it would be a great event for students to invite their unsaved friends! The price is $55 if you sign up by Oct. 21th. From Oct. 22th –Nov. 4th the price goes up to $75! Register on-line HERE or at the welcome desk in the student warehouse. Our parent meeting is scheduled for November 4th immediately following the 10:45am service.
We love and care about the families in our ministry so deeply, and our heart is to serve you and your family in the best way that we can! If there is anything we can do to help, please feel the freedom to let us know.
Luis and Chad
This week we will finish the last of four lessons that dig deep into how Jesus described himself in Scripture, in a series called “In His Own Words.” We’ve been discovering the ways Jesus “framed” who he is—his purpose, motivation, and intentions.
In this last lesson, we will pay “peculiar attention” to the five “bullet points” in Jesus’ job description—this proclamation of his mission kicked off his public ministry. Quoting a prophecy in Isaiah, he said: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” We will explore together the incredible truth that Jesus is determined to set us free from whatever imprisons us. He can’t help himself, because he loves us.
This week, spend a few minutes talking with your teenager about our lesson. Consider asking these questions:
Which “bullet point” in Jesus’ job description means the most to you, and why?
It’s hard to think of ourselves as “captives,” but what’s something in your life that makes you feel like a prisoner sometimes?
Based on his mission statement, what do you know for sure about Jesus?
Thanks for letting us partner with you in this amazing faith adventure. Have a blessed week!
