Hello Parents!

Happy Wednesday! We pray that this week has been great for you so far! We wanted to remind you about the OnePoint Weekend Parent/Leader Meeting coming up this Sunday right after Connect Groups! This is a very important meeting for those who have students going to OnePoint Weekend.  We know many families might need to attend the Meet and Greet for our new Children’s Pastor, Michael Robinson.  If you can't attend our parent meeting, please email us at and we will email you the necessary OnePoint. We believe meeting Michael is very important, so if you have a child in children's ministry please make plans to meet him.

NOTE: Please sign Urban Air Trampoline Park waiver (see link below included with important information).

Love you all tons, and as always please let us know if we can ever be of assistance to you and your students. We are here for you.

We are in the final night of our teaching series, Paradox! Tonight we will discuss the truth that when we die to self, we will truly receive life! Parents are ALWAYS welcome!!!

ONEPOINT WEEKEND | Feb. 15-17, 2019
It's not too late to sign up for OnePoint Weekend!  Here are a few of the best parts of the weekend to help show the full picture of how important this weekend is:

  • Powerful worship led by guest worship band Nick Thurmond, and engaging teaching of God’s Word by guest preacher Jamie Hammett.

  • Relationship building with other students and a caring adult through small groups (same grade and gender), and fun times staying in a host home!

  • Opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community with mission projects on Saturday afternoon.

  • A weekend away from distractions!

  • Most importantly, a weekend for middle school and high school students to focus on their relationship with Jesus!

The price for the weekend is now $100 (with scholarship help available). This Sunday is the last day to register.  Register your student online HERE, or come see us at the welcome desk in the student area tonight or at the Parent Meeting on Sunday!

Please complete the Urban Air Trampoline Park Waiver here for your student(s).

Our Parent Meeting for OnePoint is THIS SUNDAY immediately following the 10:45am service in the High School room. If you are unable to attend please let us know ahead of time and we can email you the details.

If you haven’t turned in the 2019 Annual Liability & Medical Release Waiver for your student(s), as well as a copy of your insurance card, please submit as soon as possible.  This will benefit you during the OnePoint Parent Meeting and check-in.  If your student can’t make it to this event they will need it for all future events this year.

Great news!  Our Mexico trip is full and the team is set!  Please be in prayer for our group as they prepare for ministry over Spring Break. Our next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 24th in the High School Room after the 10:45am service.

Gordon Sun has been doing a great job teaching our seniors how to defend their faith as they make plans to venture out into the real world after graduation.

If you are interested in receiving event announcements via text message, just text the phrase mallstudents to the phone number 89800.

We love and care about the families in our ministry so deeply, and our heart is to serve you and your family in the best way we can! If there is anything we can do to help, please feel the freedom to let us know.

Colossians 1:28-29

Dear Parents,

Hello! Can you believe we are already in our sixth week of “The Thread?” This week’s lesson is quite heavy, as students will look at a powerful example of sacrificial faithfulness.

This week, the lesson is titled “The Offering of Isaac.” The lesson’s purpose is to get students thinking about the idea of faithfulness, even to the point of sacrificing life. We will emphasize how God provides to those who are faithful to Him.

We will look at the following Scripture passages:

  • Genesis 22:1-19

  • John 3:16

As you read these scriptures, your perspective will be different than your teenager’s because you will better understand, as a parent yourself, how Abraham must have felt in the situation God placed him in.
Next Steps . . .
During the week set aside a few moments to discuss these questions with your teenager:

  • So, God provides for those who are faithful to Him. What surprises you the most about how the whole thing went down with Abraham, Isaac, and the ram? (Share your perspective too.)

  • How do you think this event affected Abraham? How about Isaac? (Get real. This is messy stuff that makes you think and grow.)

  • How is this story like the story of Jesus’ sacrifice? (The ram stood in the gap for Isaac. Jesus stood in the gap for us by dying on the cross for our sins.)

We hope this resource is a useful tool for you and your student. If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to contact us.
