Hello Parents!

Hello parents! We hope you are having a great day so far! We know we are! And we know tonight won’t be any different! We are in the second week of our Student teaching series “Who’s Your One” which is in conjunction with our church wide evangelism initiative on Sunday mornings! Tonight, we are sharing with our students the importance of inviting their friends to come and see what church is all about. We know that you as parents can often play a major role when it comes to helping get invited friends of our students to church. We pray that you might consider being willing to provide a ride, connecting with parents, and helping to get an invited friend of your student to church. An invitation can change someone’s life!

Love you all tons, and as always please let us know if we can ever be of assistance to you and your students. We are here for you.

These are the big events that are coming up in our student ministry!

Colossians 1:28-29

Dear Parents,

This Sunday we will turn the corner on the first 13-week section of our look at the big-picture story of the Bible. We’re having a great time learning about the Bible, and about how we see the thread of the Gospel coursing through it.

We live in a world that does not put a premium on the word FAITHFUL. Whether it is in relationships, in the workplace, or at school, we all know what it’s like to experience the sting of unfaithfulness. In this week’s lesson from the series The Thread your student will learn about the faithfulness of God.

In this week’s lesson, we'll learn that God was faithful to lead the Jewish people to the land He promised Moses. God continued His faithfulness to humankind when He sent His son Jesus, the Savior, to the earth. Your teenager will discover that God was, is, and always will be, faithful.

We will look at the following Scripture passages:

  • Joshua 1:1-3

  • Joshua 3-4:9

  • Luke 2:8-14

Take a moment this week and read these passages to familiarize yourself with what your teenager will be studying.

Next Steps . . .
During the week set aside a few moments to discuss these questions with your teenager:

  • Think about people who have been faithful to you in your life, and tell your teenager about those people, their qualities, etc.

  • Ask your teenager about people who have been unfaithful to him/her. Remind him/her that people are not perfect. Perhaps pray for those people and encourage your teenager to be a faithful and dependable person.

  • Recall times in your life when God was faithful to you, and share those stories with your teenager. Remind him/her that God is always faithful.

Thank you for being such a strong spiritual influence on the life of your teenager. You shape their faith more than you know! Please let us know if we can do anything to support you.
